HOW TIG WELDING WORKS
TIG, also called Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), uses a tungsten electrode and shielding gas to maintain a stable arc. Filler rod may be added by hand, giving the operator control over both heat and material input. Amperage can be adjusted on the fly using a foot pedal or fingertip control, which allows for very fine adjustments.
